How To Hatch and Fill a Closed Area in Autocad 2006

To hatch and fill a closed area follow this steps :

1.    From DRAW menu, choose HATCH or click hatch icon on draw toolbar.
2.    In BOUNDARY HATCH and FILL dialog box, click PICK POINTS.
3.    Click on PATTERN box and HATCH PATTERN PALETTE dialog box will show.

4.    Specify a point on your object to hatch and fill. If you make a mistake, right click and choose CLEAR ALL or UNDO LAST SELECT/PICK from shortcut menu.
5.    To view the hatch result, right click and choose PREVIEW.
6.    Press ENTER to back to boundary hatch dialog box.
7.    Click OK to apply the hatch.
